On April 8th, 51��Ƶ’s Mass Communications department presented “Little Women” the Broadway Musical for three nights of nearly sold out showings! Garnering rave reviews from audiences and critics alike for its electric cast and brilliant staging by director Carissa Hawksworth (Interim Chair of Mass Communications), this production also marked a series of firsts for the school - firsts that are the result of two and a half years of investment and development by the school and its partners.

Influencing the next generation is a core value for Terry and Gayle, whether at home, in the classroom, or in higher education. With so many contributions over four decades, superlatives fail when describing the work of Drs. Terry and Gayle Samples at 51��Ƶ. Still, those who know them best are well positioned to make the attempt. 

The BGEA Summit hosted an invitation only gathering of Hispanic leaders including denominational leaders, directors of organizations, known pastors and Latino influencers. In addition, Dr. Daniel Prieto, Director for the Masters of Arts in Leadership Spanish, was invited to speak and facilitate timely conversations.

On February 24, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in the eastern territory of Donbas. Life has been turned upside down for the 44 million Ukrainians in the days that have passed. With a constant threat of gunfire, explosions, and missiles, Ukrainians are fleeing the place they call home. Over a million people have already left, and millions more will be displaced by this war.

Eunice Hong enjoys making connections with her students not only centered on her teaching but centered on what God is doing in their lives. It’s a journey that began for her as a student at LPU and blossomed into a career in higher education teaching.
