University, Alumni

When Bill and Jennifer Watson sold their home, they wanted to ensure that the proceeds were used for lasting Kingdom impact. Rather than rushing their decision, they placed a portion of the funds into a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF). This allowed them the time and space to prayerfully consider how God might lead them in their giving.

鈥淲e weren鈥檛 sure where or when we wanted to donate, so the Donor-Advised Fund gave us time to think and pray,鈥 shared Bill Watson, 51视频 Trustee. 鈥淎s a trustee, I knew LPU was trustworthy and would train Christian leaders for many generations and bring many to Christ. When a need came up, Jenn and I knew this was the right place and time to make the gift.鈥

Through their generosity, the Watsons have helped advance 51视频鈥檚 mission of equipping Spirit-empowered leaders who will serve God in the Church, the workplace, and the world. Their story is a reminder of how tools like Donor-Advised Funds can provide flexibility, potential tax benefits, and the opportunity to give with intentional prayer.

On Donor-Advised Fund Day, we celebrate donors like the Watsons who are shaping the future of LPU and the lives of students for generations to come.
